Hand Drawn Rose Valentine Maze – Free Printable PDF
There is only one gift you can give your love this time of year. The red rose has symbolized love for centuries. This was one of the more fun mazes to create and I hope everyone loves them and shares them with all your Valentines.
I’m going to hand these out to all of my “testers” at both my wife’s school and my kids friends. Check out my store if you want some of these Valentine mazes for your favorite loves.
As always my mazes are hand drawn on 5.5 inch x 8.5 inch sketch pads and filled in with marker.
I always work out what colors are going to scan and print correctly. I had fun with the colored pencils this time.
As mentioned above I had fun with the finishing on this maze. I’d love to get feedback in the comments if you prefer with or without color.
The background on this maze is my new favorite and you are going to see more of it with future puzzles. I’m always trying to find the balance between the maze “game play” and making the image look amazing (pun intended)
Above you’ll see the scanned rose maze before and after I added the final color. Please let me know which maze everyone prefers.
If you like this maze you want to try another similar maze check out my Thanksgiving maze. If you’re looking for more free printable mazes check out my homepage.
If you don’t want to print the mazes at home please consider using the VistaPrint link below. VistaPrint is the vendor I use to print my mazes on card-stock to hand out to friends and family. I have found that they are the highest quality and the most affordable of the print vendors. Also I like that they allow for small batch printing which keeps the price affordable. I print them on 5.5 x 8.5 postcards and they turn out fantastic.
If you like our work and want to show your appreciation please consider donating with the link below. We would like to keep these mazes free but there are costs to keep the website functioning. If you enjoyed these mazes please consider donating any amount to help.
Feel free to print or reproduce the puzzles for personal, church, school or institutional use. If you need free puzzles or mazes for your small-to-medium circulation newspaper, or you would like to purchase puzzles or mazes for a book, periodical, app or website please contact me.

February 13, 2019Hilbert,
I’m not sure if you knew but you added your link to our ‘mewsic only’ linky party. The 4M participants expect to find songs to boogie to when they visit someone’s blog, so next time you decide to join perhaps you can include a mewsic video. There wasn’t a theme this Monday but do have them every other week which you’ll find in my side menu. Of course, we’re not mewsic snobs so even if you’re playing along with the themes that’s okay, too. We just want to dance with you! 🙂 I think Bette Midler’s “The Rose” would be purrfect song for your rose maze. Do you know how to embed mewsic videos into your posts?
Now about your rose maze, it is amazing! I rediscovered sketching a few years ago and I have my hooks deep in my newest passion. I have miles to go but I’m learning while having fun in the process of self-teaching myself how to draw. Thank you for sharing your artistic talents with us.

February 27, 2019Wow! These are great! I’m a budding illustrator myself, but just looking at these overwhelms me. I guess I’m not so detailed. 🙂 I pinned this one and your snowflake ones as well and I’m following so I won’t miss any. My older boys especially are going to love these! Thanks for sharing them with us!
Blessings,

February 27, 2019Thanks for the great feedback. Don’t get discouraged. There’s tons that can’t draw. I’d love feedback from your boys after they complete them.

March 3, 2019Very pretty roses. I really like the many little rosebuds. They add fullness to the drawing without making it to fussy. Thanks for sharing with Crafting by Designs.
